National statistics say people in this country are downsizing their homes more and more each day. They are desiring a more simplified and affordable way of life. It is the old saying “less is more”, that thought clearly rings true with the idea of a tiny house.

Americans today are realizing that it is not wise to put all of their eggs in one basket. Meaning, in a shaky economy why put your whole life’s efforts into an expensive 30 year mortgage that consumes your time and hard earned money. The cost and sacrifice for the most part can be overwhelming, not to mention the increased cost in taxes, insurance, maintenance, and utilities.
Unfortunately people are losing their homes to economic and weather related disasters throughout our nation that are dramatically on the rise. Incidents like flooding, brush fires, hurricanes, tornadoes and earthquakes just to name a few. People are being laid off in an economy where unemployment is at record highs, with little prospects in sight. They’re foreclosing on their homes and seeing their life savings and dreams vanish before their eyes.
